Motorboats

Motor boat is the another type of boat which is totally different from house boat. It is widely being used for the sightseeing and water transportation from one place to another, for the tourist who is having only limited number of hours. The tourist can hire the motor boat at any time as they wish, but not in the night. It is available in different sizes for example two person to ten person, so the boat capacity will be 10 person , then ten to twenty so on...This is not a conducted trip on the other hand the tourist can hire one boat exclusively for them. We assuring 100% safety by using life jacket and life guard.


Shikkara

The Shikara ride in the backwaters of Alleppey (Alappuzha) in Kerala is an excellent option. Shikara Boats is comparatively small in size than houseboats and motorboats but it is really beautiful handicraft work in elegant Kerala style. Shikara boats are mainly used for sightseeing. It is available in limited budget and mainly used for sightseeing in per hour basis in much cheaper rate than Houseboats and Motorboats. Its seating arrangement is very comfortable for the travellers as they are using cushion chairs.The shikara boat is a traditional open canoe like country boat which has been equipped with bamboo seats and an over head bamboo canoe for shade. It has a four stroke outboard petrol engine. All the sides of a Shikara boat is open for best view for sightseeing and therefore the travel will be much relaxing even in the afternoon.
No food is served in a Shikara boat and we cannot move freely inside a shikara boat. It is advisable to start your journey in early morning so that you can enjoy from the sunrise to the birds singing, the cool breeze and the backwaters. You can have a very close view in the backwaters than you can even dip your hands in the chilling water. A Shikara offers seating capacity for four men to twelve men. Only day cruises are allowed in motorboats and they don’t provide any overnight stays and is not available during the night. The cruise time will be from 9:00 am to 5.30 pm. This is the best way to explore Kerala backwaters cheaply. As it is small in size, it can cruise through small canals where you can watch people living in the backwater villages. The best feature of Shikara boats is that it can travel to very small canals where Houseboats and Motor boats cannot reach.

  • The boat will be anchored in the lake or canal during night & will not cruise after 17.30 hrs.
  • Air conditioners in the bedroom will be switched on only from 9 PM to 6 AM.
  • Incase of A/C failure, Non A/C deluxe houseboat tariff will be charged.
